Beechwood is a housing estate on the Wirral Peninsula across the River Mersey from Liverpool and was built in the 1960’s.In 2013 Beechwood& Ballantyne estates benefited from a grant. Of £1million from the BIg Local Lottery fund for 10 years to support resident owned and led initiatives to make the community a better place to live.In 2015 the estates housing and commercial assets were transferred to the Liverpool Housing Trust and then they were transferred to Onward Housing .
The LIttle Centre. Beechwood was a building previously `owned by WIrral Borough Council and in 2013 it was asset transferred from WBC to local resident groups and a charity and a company limited by guarantee was created.
Charitable Objectives
To further or benefit the residents of. Beechwood and the neighbourhood,without distinction of sex,sexual orientation ,race or of political,religious or other opinions by associating together the said residents and Local Authorities,voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education, and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation.
